Add a title, then the start and end, or tick “All day.” The place and a short description are optional; keep them brief, since everything is stored in the code.
No expiration date
An event QR code carries the title, date, time, and place of your event, so people who scan it can add it to their calendar in one tap. Fill in the form, download the code, and put it on invitations or posters. It is static and does not expire.
You can also turn it into a printable 3D object: a table stand, a keychain, or a wall plaque.
Your links, images, and data (Wi-Fi, contacts, messages, events) are processed in this browser and never sent to a server. The files you download do contain the information you encode, including Wi-Fi passwords.
Event in three steps
Have the date, start and end time, and location at hand.
Add a title, then the start and end, or tick “All day.” The place and a short description are optional; keep them brief, since everything is stored in the code.
Choose colors that suit your invitation. A calendar code holds more data than a link, so print it a little larger.
Download PNG or SVG. Scan it with an iPhone and an Android phone to check that the date and time arrive correctly before you print.
Before you print the invitations
The code stores a local date and time, with no time zone. It lands at the same clock time wherever it is scanned, which suits in-person events best.
Everything is inside the code, so there is no way to change the date afterward. If plans move, make and distribute a new code.
Every extra word makes the code denser. A concise title and place give a cleaner code that reads easily from a poster.
For weddings or conferences, a 3D keychain with the event link doubles as a keepsake.
QR code keychainCommon questions
What organizers usually ask.
Most phone cameras and QR readers recognize calendar events and offer to add them. Behavior varies by phone and app, so scan a sample before you print.
No. It creates a single event with a title, start and end (or an all-day date), a place, and a description. For repeating events, make one code per date or link to a web page instead.
No. The event is stored in the code, with no server or account. It always opens, but a past date stays past, so remove old posters.
Yes. If you want guests to see a full page with maps, tickets or updates, use a link QR code. Then you can edit the page without changing the code.
