Free QR code keychain for 3D printing

A QR code keychain is a small 3D printed tag that links to your website, social profile, menu, or contact. Enter your link, pick a shape, and download the 3MF or STL. Each keychain has a 5 mm through-hole and a raised code, and the code never expires.

You can also turn it into a printable 3D object: a table stand, a keychain, or a wall plaque.

Demo example: replace this link with your own destination. We add HTTPS if it is missing.

Start from a template

Applies shape, text, and style. Keeps the links and credentials you typed. Enter your real destination before sharing.

Reuse a design

Local JSON file (16 KB maximum). Wi-Fi passwords are not saved. Opening a design replaces the current settings; save first if you want to keep them.

Preparing your design…

3MF keeps the two colors per part. Assign the filaments in your slicer; automatic assignment depends on the program. STL does not keep colors.

Customize the design

Screen colors are approximate; assign real filaments in the slicer.

Your links, images, and data (Wi-Fi, contacts, messages, events) are processed in this browser and never sent to a server. The files you download do contain the information you encode, including Wi-Fi passwords.

Keychain in three steps

How to make a QR keychain

A short link makes a bigger, easier-to-scan code.

1

Enter the link

Use the shortest address you have: 220 bytes is the 3D limit, and fewer modules mean a clearer code on a small tag.

2

Pick shape and colors

Choose rectangle, rounded, circle, or capsule, and two filament colors with strong contrast. You can add a short caption or symbol.

3

Download, print, scan

Get the 3MF or STL, print it, and scan the first one before you make a batch. The base is 3 mm thick.

Make it small and scannable

Designing a keychain that works

A hole for the ring

Every keychain has a 5 mm through-hole outside the quiet zone. The hole has a nominal size with no printer compensation, so test the fit.

Mind the module size

The tag is small, so each module may be near your nozzle size. Aim for at least three nozzle widths per module.

Good for giveaways

Print a batch for a launch, market stall, or event, each pointing to your page or contact.

Common questions

About QR code keychains

What makers and small businesses ask first.

How big is the keychain?

You choose the width between 40 and 140 mm. For a keychain, smaller is practical, but the code must remain scannable, so a short link helps.

Does the QR code keychain stop working?

Not by itself. The link is stored in the object. It works as long as the page it points to exists, and cannot be changed afterward.

Which shapes are available?

Rectangle, rounded rectangle, circle, and capsule, all with a 5 mm hole for a ring or strap.

Will it scan reliably when printed?

The tool verifies the code digitally, but printing and scanning have not been lab-verified. Print a sample and scan it with several phones first.
